As a result of a research by Professor Dr. Elisa Abrantes (ICHS / UFRRJ), the book "The past that does not pass: memory, history and exile in the fiction of Edna O'Brien" brings a reflection on the Irish author Edna O'Brien and her peculiar way of making use of Ireland's history, memory, past and present in order to, through fiction, tell her views that question the official versions of history, showing the constructive character of these versions. In the video, Abrantes reports the research objectives, in addition to introducing the reader to the book. Remember: the download is free and is available here.
