As part of the activities of the XII Symposium of Irish Studies and the SPECTReSS Project - Social Performance of Cultural Trauma and Reconstruction of Solid Solidarity, the Associação Brasileira de Estudos Irlandeses (ABEI) together with the WB Yeats Chair of Irish Studies, Irish Film Institute, and CINUSP Paulo Emílio bring the film festival "Cultural Trauma in Ireland and Brazil" that takes place from 14 to 25 August and will feature discussions with producers and directors of the documentaries We Were There (2014) by Cahal McLauglin (Queen's University Belfast) and 1916: The Irish Rebellion by Briona NicDhiarmada.
