With deep sorrow we received the news that Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney, the great Irish poet, died this morning in Dublin at the age of 74.

The Brazilian Association of Irish Studies (ABEI) and the W.B.Yeats Chair of Irish Studies join his family and friends in this great loss.
