3 Dec 2025, Brasília (DF) - The Embassy of Ireland in Brazil and ABEI celebrated 50 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Ireland with the launch of ABEI Journal Special Issue 27.1 at Instituto Rio Branco, Brasília (DF). His Excellencies Ambassador Martin Gallagher (Ambassador of Ireland to Brazil) and Ambassador Flávio Macieira (Ambassador of Brazil to Ireland), together with Dr. Camila Franco Batista (President of ABEI), Edson Barros (General Manager for Kerry Brazil and Southern Cone), and CNN journalist Teo Curry, discussed this fruitful diplomatic relationship and the history of Irish Studies in Brazil.
