Call for Papers – ABEI Journal General Issue

The Editors of the ABEI Journal (e-ISSN: 2595-8127) invite you to contribute to the next general issue (volume 23, number 1) to be published in June 2021.

​The deadline for submissions is 16 October 2020. All submissions will be received through the Open Journal Systems. Please visit the ABEI Journal page (http://revistas.fflch.usp.br/abei) and log in or create an account.

Submissions are welcome in all interdisciplinary fields of Irish Studies and can be made in four categories: articles, reviews, interviews and translations. Articles should not exceed 6,000 words (excluding only title, abstract, and key-words), reviews, interviews, and translations 2,000 words.

The ABEI Journal is a Brazil-based international publication in the area of Irish literary or cultural studies. Submissions are accepted only in English. Double-blind peer-review applies to all submissions.
 
Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the following areas within Irish studies:
 
◦          The Irish literary canon and its dissidences
◦          Translation and reception of Irish Literature in Brazil and Brazilian literature in Ireland
◦          Studies of gender and sexuality
◦          Irish history
◦          Irish arts
◦          Irish language, arts and literature
◦          Perspectives on migration and diaspora
◦          Ireland in the context of the European Union
◦          Adaptation of Irish literature into multiple media
◦          Irish theatre
◦          Global crises and pandemics
 
Please observe the following rules:
Upload your document in Word format (.doc)
Follow MLA style (8th edition)
Add a 150-to-200-word abstract below the title
Add three to five key-words below the abstract
Remove the author’s name from both the text and the properties of the document
